That all changes this week with the new expanded free trial launching and giving non-subscribers the chance to move beyond A Realm Reborn and into the Heavensward era of the critically-acclaimed Square Enix MMO.
Up until now, the Final Fantasy 14 free trial allowed players to level up to 35 and explore the content of the original A Realm Reborn storyline and jobs. The latest major patch rolls out today and to help celebrate, the game is also expanding its free-to-play trial option in a serious way. Although the upcoming WoW expansion, Shadowlands, may be stealing a lot of the MMO spotlight in late 2020, Final Fantasy 14 is still having a fantastic year, as well.
